
Kavarna is a small Black Sea coastal town in the Dobruja region of northeastern Bulgaria, with a population of about 12,500. The town is situated 48 km north of Varna, 49 km from Dobrich and just 12 km away from the picturesque Kaliakra cape. The coast to the north of the town is high and steep, while the south of the town boasts an excellent sandy beach, the coastline being 42 km long. Kavarna is a great place for a holiday, combining modern comfort with a unique atmosphere whilst preserving its tranquility and charm. On the high hill of Chirakman, which is 3 km away from Kavarna, you can still see remains of Roman fortresses and medieval towns

Kaliakra is among the few places in Europe, where you can see rare species of animals including dolphins and rare lizards..
